Umberto (George) Costanzo died Dec. 2, 1992 at his home, in Weimar, California, in the arms of his wife, Beverly, following a long illness with Alzheimer's. He was 78. A native of New York, with an Italian background, he was born on Feb. 2, 1914. His mother's maiden name was Marra.

George married Beverly Howery on Sept. 19, 1961.

He was a flight service manager (Purser) for TWA (Trans World Airline) for 28 years and served in the U.S. Army Air force during WWII. George had a special kind of humor. He also loved to read informational books about real live people and things.

Mr. Costanzo is survived by his wife, Beverly of 31 years, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held.

Lassila's Sierra Chapel in Colfax handled the arrangements.

George's final resting place was in the Felt Plains Cemetery, Bunker Hill township, Ingham Co MI. His ashes were buried with those of his wife, Beverly, on June 12, 2017.
