SPANISH AMERICAN WAR VETERAN

Arthur R. Buzzell was the son of Jeremiah Francis and Mary (Sellers) Buzzell. He was born February 4, 1879 in Waueon, Ohio. He married Nina Ethel on September 7, 1913 in Duvall, Washington and was the father of a daughter, Dorris.

MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted April 25, 1898 in Columbus, Ohio. He served in Company "I", 6th Ohio Regiment. He was discharged as a Private on May 24, 1899. Since he had held the rank of Sergeant at one time, it was inscribed on his tombstone.

Admitted to Washington Veterans Home on August 20, 1936. In his 1936 application, he noted he was 57 years old, was 5'6" tall, was a resident of Kitsap County, and had lived continuously in Washington State since 1912. he was receiving a pension of $35 a month.

He died December 5, 1950 at Washington Veterans Home and was buried in the cemetery there on December 8th. He is buried in the Spanish American War section.
