SPANISH AMERICAN WAR VETERAN

Robert P. Anderson was the son of David McKinley and Caroline (Smith) Anderson. He was born August 17, 1878 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted April 27, 1898; served in Company "F", 16th Pennsylvania Vol. Infantry; Discharged with rank of Corporal.

He married Margaret L. on July 8, 1900 in Jameston, New York. The couple had a son, Robert. He came to Washington State in August 1906; residing at Youngstown until Spring of 1907; Spokane until 1911; then Chewelah until 1918; Aberdeen 1929, back to Chewelah to 1938- Shelton 1938.

He died at age 76 at Retsil's Veterans Home and is buried in the cemetery there.
