Thomas A. Flaherty was born January 16, 1882 and died July 24, 1945. He was the son of the late Joseph L. Flaherty and Mary Kerrick.
He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Hartley and to this union were born six children all of whom survive, Charlie Flaherty, Mrs. Pauline Polston, Gerald Flaherty, Clyde Flaherty, Leonard Flaherty and Vestena Flaherty; four sisters, Ella Campbell, Sue Berryman, Emma Adkisson and Maude Board; three brothers, Mike Flaherty, John Flaherty and Will Flaherty.
Tom was born and reared near Payneville.
The remains were brought from Dexter, Indiana to St. Mary Magdalen, Payneville for interment.
