SOUTHPORT - Mrs. Lena Spencer Clemmons, 79, died Sunday afternoon at her residence on the Long Beach Road. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Apostolic Church, with the Rev. W.D. Kelly officiating.
She is the widow of the late Dortidge Clemmons. She is survived by eight children, Minnie Long Hickman of Cross Road, Retha Ferguson, and Delorese Varnum, both of Shallotte, Hilda Fay Clemmons of Long Beach Road, Joanne Swain of Winston Salem, Arthur Spencer of Carolina Beach Rd., Walter (Dutch) Spencer of Bolivia, and Elton Clemmons of Long Beach Rd.
Pallbearers will be Billy Dixon, Raymond Ferguson, Larry Ferguson, Bobby Spencer, Steve Spencer, and Bruce Clemmons.
