Elton Dotridge Clemmons, 78, of Bolivia died Saturday, December 14, 2013. He was born in Brunswick County, a son of Dotridge and Lena Hearl Clemmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Clemmons, as well as three siblings, Dutchie Spencer, Minnie Long, and Retha Ferguson. He was retired from Clem's Seafood in Oak Island, and was known as Clem, Sr. His hobbies included fishing, wood crafting, and playing the guitar and banjo. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all.

Surviving are his sons, Elton Bruce Clemmons, and his girlfriend, Teresa Bennett, of Bolivia and Jeffery Clemmons and his wife, Kathy, of Southport; a brother, Arthur Spencer of Bolivia; sisters, Deloris Strong and Jenny Milliken (James) of Bolivia and Joanne Swain (Jimmy) of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Angie Clemmons Wallace, Kathy Lynn Clemmons, and Jessica F. Clemmons; and great grandchildren, Cole, Caden, Mallory, Timothy, and Duncan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17th, from the Brunswick Funeral Service Southport/Oak Island Chapel with The Rev. Bill McNeill officiating. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery, Bolivia.
