Veda Marie Mizell Dysinger, 80, of Delta died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at her home.

She was born March 23, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of Paul and Nola Reed Mizell. She and Elmer W. Dysinger were married April 19, 1952, in Piggott, Ark. They had been married one week shy of 50 years. He died April 8, 2002.

Dysinger was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta. She was a housekeeper 10 years at Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau. She lived in Delta 56 years.

Survivors include two sons, Don Dysinger of Delta, Gary Dysinger of Elk City, Okla.; two daughters, Jill Wooden of Sikeston, Mo., Brenda Gones of Gordonville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
