Benjamin J. Enderle

BENTON-A Benton man who was the father of eight sons and five daughters, died at his home Sunday night.
Benjamin J. Enderle, a retired farmer and carpenter, was 80 years old.
He was born Dec. 11, 1887, in Kelso. On Aug.23, 1910, he married to Miss Dorothy Heuring who preceded him in death Dec. 23, 1962.
Eight sons survive Mr. Enderle. They are: Richard Enderle, Temple City, Calif; WO John C. Enderle, stationed with the Army in Jacksonville, Fla.; Harry and Edwin Enderle of Kelso; Albert Enderle, New Hamburg; and Bill,Thomas,and Benjamin Enderle, all of Scott City.
Surviving daughters include Mrs. Lorene Hagan, Kelso; Mrs. John Unnerstall, Mrs. Jack Sneed, and Mrs. Leon Halter, all of Benton, and Mrs. Harold Humphries, Illmo.
Two brothers survive Mr. Enderle, Charles Enderle, Benton and Paul Enderle, Scott City.
There are also four sisters who survive, Mrs. Julia Dumey, Scott City, and Mrs. John Scherer, Mrs. Celeste Scherer, and Mrs. Mary Spalding, all of Benton.
In addition, there are 37 surviving grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who survive Mr. Enderle.
The body is at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Illmo where the Rosary will be said tonight at 8.
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Robert Scherer, a nephew of Mr. Enderle, will be in charge.
Burial will follow in ST. Augustine's Church Cemetery.
Mr. Enderle was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Benton, and a member of the men's sodality at St. Augustines.
