J.B. Enderle, 88 of Benton Passes Away
Benton, Nov.22-John B. Enderle, 88 years old, died while enroute to a Cape Girardeau hospital shortly after noon Tuesday. He had been ill only a few days and death was due to complications.
The body was taken to the Smith Funeral Home at Oran and brought to the family residence later. Funeral services will be held at St. Denis Catholic Church here Friday at 9 a. m by Rev. Charles A. Schmalle. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
Mr. Enderle was born Aug. 7, 1862, at New Hamburg. On Nov. 4, 1886, he married Miss Louise Logel of Kelso, who survives. The couple lived in Kelso until moving here eight years ago. Mr. Enderle was a farmer.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ben J. Enderle of Commerce Route 1, Paul J. Enderle of Illmo and Charles E Enderle of Benton; five daughters, Mrs. John A. Scherer of Commerce, Mrs. Albert J. Dumey of Ancell, Mrs. Joe Spadling and Mrs. Cletus Scherer of Benton and Mrs. Otto L. Miller, of Mount Vernon, Ill., 48 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
