Sydney Allen Baker, 62 of St. Louis, passed away Tuesday, April 8 in John Cochran V.A. Hospital, St. Louis. He was born July 4, 1923 in Randolph County, a son of the late Edgar Allen and Clara Bailey Baker. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Patricia Williams Baker of the home; a son, Douglas Baker, also of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Davis of Walnut Ridge and Mrs. Clara Fern Anderson of Pocahontas. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with G.W. Allison officiating. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery with McNabb's in charge. Pallbearers were Truman Anderson, Curtis Daniel, Ben and Don Williams, James Noonon and Alan Johnson.
