Ernest Bryan Baker of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, August 5, 1999, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on September 4, 1937, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Arthur and Evangeline (Craig) Baker. He married Sylvia Jean Waggoner and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Tim Baker of Houston, TX, and Kevin Mosier of Williams, IN; two daughters, Debera Reed and Amanda Baker, both of Bedford, IN; three brothers, Arthur Baker and George Baker, both of Bedford, IN, and Charles Baker of Bloomfield, IN; one sister, Susan Todd of Springville, IN; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Baker.

He was a machinist at Midwest Metal Spinning and served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Fayetteville.

Services for Ernest Baker will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 9th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow at the House of Prayer Cemetery in Fayetteville with military graveside rites accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post # 33, Bedford.
