Rufus S. Allred, 74, of Green Forest died on January 16, 1964 at Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born on November 9, 1889 in Dinsmore, a son of Mack and Josephine (Smith) Allred. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his widow, Ingie Allred, of the home; one sister, Lillie McCollough of Greenfield, California; two brothers, S. M. Allred of Napa, California and Gordon Allred of Alpena; two nieces; and three nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday at Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Burris officiating. Burial was in Fairgrove Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
