She was born March 21, 1911, at Walla Walla, the daughter of William C. and Ida (Weaver) Moore.
On June 8, 1934, she was married to Malcolm E. Kerr.
Evelyn lived and taught school at Benton City, retiring there after many years.
After their retirement, she and Malcolm spent 17 years traveling in their RV and visiting family.
Her husband preceded her in death in July, 1988.
Since 1994, she has resided at Chelan where she volunteered at the grade school until 2006.
She was a member of O.E.S Roza Chapter 238; Silver Chapter 93, O.E.S.; and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Evelyn's family wishes to thank Dr. Waszkewitz, Dr. Parks, the Lake Chelan Hospital nursing staff and Home Health/Hospice.
She will be missed by her two daughters: Cathie (Bob) Harris, of Chelan; Marilyn Gant, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; five grandchildren: Jacque (Barry) DePaoli, Joe (Alice) Harris all of Chelan; Linda Butterworth, Diane (Paul) Aguinaga both of Calif.; Craig (Elishah) Gant, of Ore.; 12 great-grandchildren, five nieces , two nephews and many from her 'Cuzzins' family.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Melvin Moore and a sister, Leona Smith.
A tribute service will take place Wednesday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 114 Alma St., Benton City, with Frank Haun officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Benton City. Memorials may be made to Lake Chelan Community Hospital Home/Hospice, PO Box 908, Chelan, Wash. 98816. Services have been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
