Snowie Mae Teeters, 74, of Big Spring, died on Monday, February 18, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2002, at the First Baptist Church with her son, Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor, officating. He will be assisted by her grandson, Caleb Teeters. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of First Baptist Church of Coahoma, officiating.

She was born on January 24, 1928 in the Draw Community, Lynn County, Texas and married Monroe Teeters on March 8, 1946 at Redwine Baptist Church in Tahoka, Texas.

Mrs. Teeters, the daughter of Walter and Addie Bratcher, grew up in the Draw Community between Tahoka and O'Donnell.

She graduated from Post High School and attended Howard Payne University.

She was a pastor's wife and had 53 years of ministry with her husband. They served at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Post, Knott Baptist Church, Greenwood Baptist Church, Key Baptist Church in Lamesa, Friendship Baptist Church in Dawson County, First Baptist Church of Wink, First Baptist Church of Early, Loma Terrace Baptist Church in El Paso, Summitt Baptist Church in Amarillo, First Baptist Church of Coahoma, Johnson City Baptist Church, Tarzan Baptist Church and Berea Baptist Church in Big Spring.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Monroe Teeters of Big Spring; a daughter, Sharon Cheatham of Benbrook; a son, Dennis Teeters of Big Spring; a brother, A. W. Bratcher of Sterling City; a sister, Ila Fae Mathis of San Angelo; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family suggests memorials to: First Baptist Church, 705 West FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
