Pearson, Martha O Dixon - Martha O Pearson, 311 South Elm, Creston, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Mahala Dye Dixon, was born in Unionville, Missouri on May 25, 1885. She died Tuesday February 15 at the Crest Haven Care Center in Creston at ninety-seven years of age.

Mrs Pearson was a former resident of Adams County and Lenox, Iowa until moving to Creston in 1953. On June 2, 1956 she was united in marriage to Al Pearson. He preceded her in death in November of 1960.

Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Creston,
Preceding her in death were two husbands; her parents; two sons, Hugh Fisher and James Brown,; three sisters; six brothers; a granddaughter, Sharon Riepe, and a great great granddaughter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Goldie Schowalter and Mrs. Evelyn Reed, both of Creston; three stepsons, Glenn and Gail Pearson, both of Rockford, Illinois and Wayne Pearson of Creston; seven grandchildren; nineteen greatgrandchildren;
several great greatgrandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and step greatgrandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, February 17 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Creston. Pastor Dan Mixdorf officiated.
Music was by Matt Teigland, organist. The selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Just As I Am".
Casket bearers were Roger Claiser, Jim Morris, Dick Rainforth, Edward Reed, James Riepe II, and Don Van Wyk.
Honorary bearers were Gail Pearson, Glenn Pearson, Wayne Pearson, and Darrell Reynolds.
Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery at Lenox.
Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home of Creston was in charge of arrangements.
