Obituary:
Mr. Alfred Baxendale of 104 Sanford Lane, died Monday at 5:09 p.m, apparently from a heart attack. He was 73.

Mr. Baxendale was a retired electrician and held membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local No. 760. He worked for the Rust Engineering in the early days of Oak Ridge and had also been enployed by Hagaman Electrical Company. He was also a memeber of the Elks Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Baxendale was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Baxendale is survived by his wife Ruth Ellen and four sons, Robert Martin of Chattanooga, John Thomas and Richard Allen of the home and James A. of Tampa, Florida. Other survivors include a brother James W. Baxendale of Nashville and a daughter-in-law and grandchild, Sherry Faye (Mrs. Robert) Baxendale and Tracy Lynn Baxendale of Chattanooga.

Services have been scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge with the Rev. James Dunlap officiating. burial will be in the Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
