Obituary;
Richard "Bax" Allen Baxendale, 53, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home.

He was born January 4, 1963 in Rockwood, TN, the son of Alford and Ruth Ellen Vincent Baxendale.

Richard was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He had worked for over 35 years at Gassaway's Automotive. In earlier years, Richard enjoyed racing at the Atomic Speedway.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Baxendale.

He is survived by brother, Mickey Baxendale and wife Sherry of Chattanooga; nieces, Tracy Higginbotham and Stephanie Baxendale and great-niece, Kaley Higginbotham, all of Chattanooga; and several cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6 – 8pm at Weatherford Mortuary. Graveside service will be held Friday September 23rd at 10am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
