GRANDSON OF FORMER FENDALL RESIDENT KILLED IN PACIFIC

FENDALL, Jan. 6 – A grandson of former residents of this community, Dick Hamar, marine PhM 2/c, has been killed in action in the Central Pacific, according to press dispatches. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hamar of Nashville. Mrs. Hamar is the daughter of W.E. Fendall, Eddyville, former residents here. He joined the navy in 1942, later transferring to the marines.
