George William Bennett passed away at the age of 77 at the Humboldt County Hospital. He was born to George W. and Blanche Niles Bennett, and had lived in Winnemucca since 1982, coming from Reno. He had also lived in Elko, NV. George worked for Truck Parts and Equipment Co. of Reno, was a service manager for Pioneer Equipment Co. and worked for Cary Hull's Chevrolet dealership in Elko. He attended schools in Paul, ID. His brothers, Samuel N. and Robert, preceded him in death. Surviving are sons, Richard G. of Reno and Bruce W. of Haralson, GA; daughter, Jo Linda Perry and sister, Betty B. Adams, both of Winnemucca; sister, Mary B. Bunce of Pocatello, ID; brother, Paul O. of McCammon; four grandsons, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
