Everett was united in marriage to Nila Jean Thayer at the First Presbyterian Church in Superior, Nebraska on December 3, 1970. Everett and Nila farmed in the Nelson and Superior areas for many years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Superior, the Superior American Legion Post and the VFW Post of Nelson, NE.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorene Thomsen-Meyer; brother, Kenneth; and wife Nila, on May 12, 2006.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Don Iburg (Norma) of Austin, Texas, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from the First Presbyterian Church in Superior, Nebraska. Pastor Mark Diehl will officiate with interment in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Monday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Superior.
