Mr. Barfknecht came to Nuckolls county (sic) with his parents when a small child and remained in the community, farming south-west of Nelson until 1955 when he moved to Superior.
Survivors are his wife Bernice, a son, Everett Barfknecht of Nelson, and two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Meyer of (sic) Bostwick and Mrs. Norma Iburg of Omaha.
Nine grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. William Hohl of Nelson, Mrs. Anna Uellen of Yuma, Colo., and Mrs. Lena Bangert of Lawrence.
One son, Kenneth, preceded his father in death a year ago.
