April 9, 1917
Andrew C. Boslet, a former well known contractor of the city, died at his home, 2125 Eighteenth street, this morning at 5:30 o'clock following an illness which began last October. Death was due to a complication of diseases brought on by advanced age.
Mr. Boslet was born at Carrolltown, Cambria County, June 16, 1845, and was the son of Peter and Elizabeth Boslet, both deceased.
On April 21, 1867, he was united in marriage with Susan Ackerman, who still survives, and the couple had looked forward to celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary later this month.
In addition to the widow the following children survive; Mrs. Frank Willmore, Mrs. H.H. Luther, Mrs. Fred Stoehr, Mrs. John Kimmel, Cerullus Boslet and Elmer Boslet, all of this city. A brother M. Boslet of Altoona, and twenty four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive.
Some years ago the deceased was engaged in the building buisness here, constructing a large number of dwellings in his time. He operated a planing mill at Twenty first avenue and Eighteenth Street. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. The funeral will be held at St. Leo's Church at 9 o'clock. Interment at St. John's Cemetery.

Andrew was the son of German Immigrant John Peter Boslet and his wife Elizabeth Rutsch. Elizabeth was born in Pennsylvania.
