12 August 1901: Mrs. Anna M. Behney died at her home on West Main Street after a brief illness, aged 82 years. Although she had been feeble for some time, she was able to be about until less than a week ago, when she was stricken with apoplexy. She is survived by the following children: Henry Behney, of Newark, N.J., Augustus and Cyrus Behney, Mrs. Sarah Kilmer and Mrs. E. L. Bleistine of town, and Mrs. Jonathan Swope, of Crosskill Mills. Adam Loose and Mrs. Levi Steiner, of town, and Mrs. Thomas Dieffenbach, of Bethel, are her surviving brother and sisters. Funeral is Thursday morning with services in the Reformed church of which deceased was a member for many years. Rev. J. Lewis Fluck will officiate. Interment in Mt Hope Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
