He was born Nov. 9, 1928, in Obion County, son of the late Walter Cleo and Vera (Jackson) Archie. He married the former Alma Doris Bell Dec. 26, 1952. She survives. He was a retired farmer and land owner in Dorena, Mo, where he had been a farmer for more than 40 years. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of East Prairie, Mo., First Baptist Church.
Survivors also include his daughter, Diana Boren of Hickman; his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Judy Archie of La Center, Ky.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tara and Michael Rushton of South Fulton and Cody and Erica Archie and Colby and Julie Archie, all of East Prairie; and his great-grandson, Corbin Archie of East Prairie. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
