Wife Of Governor Ralston's Brother Succumbs After Illness Of Two Years Of Cancer.

Mrs. Amelda (Cain) Ralston. 63 years old. Wife of Dr. John A. Ralston of Jackson township, died at her home Wednesday, Sept. 13, after an illness from cancer covering a period of two years. She was a daughter of Barnabas and Mary Cain and was born near Spencer Feb. 20 1853. She was married July 16, 1881 to Wilson McClure, who died Feb. 7. 1905. She was married to John A. Ralston, Feb. 24, 1913. Mrs. Ralston was a member of Mt. Moriah Presbyterian church and funeral services were held in that church Friday. Interment was made in New Hope (Mclndoo) cemetery(now known as New Union). She is survived by the husband, two brothers, Chas. Cain of Spencer, and John Cain of Winfield, Kansas, and two sisters. Mrs. Thomas McClure of Spencer, and Mrs. Amanda Moore of Clinton, Ind. Mrs. Ralston lived here for some time with her sister, Mrs. McClure.
