Brotherton Rites
To Be Announced


Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Harry E. Brotherton, 64 years old, 106 1/2 Main street, who died sometime Tuesday night when struck by a northbound train on the Kansas City Southern railroad track near the North Main street overpass.

The body was found by Patrolman John Rice at 4:50 o'clock Wednesday morning. Dr. Wendell Fuhr, Jasper county coroner, said that no inquest will be held.

Born February 22, 1897, in Greene county, Mr. Brotherton is survived by two brothers, Lee Brotherton, address unknown, and Alfred Brotherton of Leavenworth, Kan.

Arrangements will be announced by Hurlbut-Glover mortuary.

Services for Harry E. Brotherton, 64 years old, 106 1/2 Main street, who was killed Tuesday night when struck by a train near the Kansas City Southern overpass on North Main street, will be at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Hurlbut-Glover chapel. The Rev. Dow Booe will officiate.

Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earl Ray Cavener, Gerald Cavener, Bill Russow, Charles McIlvaine, Walter Daniels and Morris Lamb.

Mrs. Olive Brotherton, 2105 Byers avenue, died at 11:45 o'clock yesterday morning at St. John's hospital. She was 32 years old. Surviving are her husband, H. E. Brotherton, an employee of the United Iron Works, Inc: one son, Claud; a sister, Bertha Vorhies of St. Joseph, Mo., and a brother, L Martin of Columbus.

Funeral arrangements have not been made yet.
