Esther R. Thilmony, 85, a lifelong Loda resident, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 1977 at Paxton Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for three days.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Loda with Rev. Paul F. Dinan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Paxton. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Thilmony was born April 19, 1892, at Loda, a daughter of John T. and Mary Mangan Butler. She married Christopher Thilmony Feb. 19, 1917, at Loda. He died March 18, 1944.
She leaves a brother, James E. Butler, Champaign; a sister, Mayme Thilmony, Rankin and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Thilmony was the librarian at the Loda Library for 25 years. She was a member of St. Jospeh's Catholic Church and CCW.
