MALAGA - Richard M. Seton, 72, Malaga, died Saturday morning, June 11, 1994, in Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, following a brief illness.

He was born March 27, 1922, to William and Louise (Frise) Seton in Kendall, where he grew up and attended school. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in October of 1942 and served his country during World War II. He returned to Bellingham following his discharge in 1945.

He married Genevieve Stone on Aug. 26, 1955, in Dryden. They lived in Bellingham, where he worked for the Great Northern Railroad. They moved to Eastern Washington in 1959, where he worked for the Crandell Fruit Co. and Rosewood Hospital in Wenatchee. He later was employed by the Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research Center until his retirement in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, at the home; one son, Richard L., Malaga; one sister, Mae Carlson, Seattle; one brother, Donald Seton, Bellingham; and one half brother, Bruce Seton, Arlington. He was preceded in death by a son, one sister and two brothers.
