Harold C. Seton, 66, a resident of Cashmere for the past eight years, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 14, in Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee. He was born on May IS, 1920, at Sumas, and the family later moved to Kendall, where he grew up. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941 and on Oct. 14, 1942 he was married to Sylvia G. Hatch at Mt. Vernon. She died in January, 1977. Following his discharge in 1945 he returned to Kendall and in 1946 they moved to Bellingham, where he worked as a logger and he later worked for Burgess Logging in Plain. In 1961 they moved to Leavenworth. On May 20, 1977 he was married to Alice Granger (1952-2016) at Leavenworth and in 1979 they moved to Cashmere. was a member, of the D.A.R. in Wenatchee. Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the family home; four daughters, Sharon Purks of Wenatchee, Linda Lawson of Cashmere, Deborah Paine of Gettysburg, Penn, and Gnday Marie Seton of the family home; one son, Harold W. Seton, U.S. Navy, San Diego; four brothers, Bruce Seton of Darrington, Don Seton of Colville, Dick Seton of Malaga and Fred Seton of New Mexico; two sisters, Helen Johnson of Darrington and Mae Carlson of Seattle; and seven grandchildren. Private burial was at the Mt. View Cemetery. Wards Funeral Chapel of Leavenworth is in charge of the arrangements.
