Julia Little was born in Medina, Oho on August 21, 1852. Her father was Elijah Lyman Little and her mother was Nancy Ann.
Julia graduated from Iowa College, now Grinnell in 1872
She married Henry Mack, and they came to Canon City in 1875 by wagon. She was pregnant with her first child when they arrived. Henry Mack was the owner/manager of Mack's Lumber yard at 6th & Main, named Pioneer Lumber CO.
Julia raised her two children, Jessie and Willliam Lyman as well as a nephew Marion Prentiss who was the 10 day old son of Dr. Prentiss and Julia's sister Nancy Marion Little Prentiss who died in 1883.
She had a daughter who died in 1884 from Typhoid fever named Julia Marie Mack.
