June L. Hawkins, age 82, passed away on April 1, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She resided at 610 South 900 West in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born April 28, 1926 in Blanding, Utah to Wilford Derby Laws and Mary Francis Peterson.

She married Ormas L. Hawkins on May 3, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day-Saints. She and her husband served two missions, the Roanoke, Virginia Mission and Peoria, Illinois Mission and a temple mission in the Manti Utah Temple. She was a temple worker in the Monticello and Salt Lake City Temples.

She is survived by Don (Valerie) Hawkins, Pat (Foster) Cox, Trudy (Evan) Fullmer. Kathy Hawkins, Betty June (Charles) Eckhardt, Colleen Hawkins, Carol Hawkins, Richard (VirlAnn) Hawkins 33 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her seven siblings, one grandson, and one great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 in the Salt Lake Twenty-Sixth Ward Chapel, 1145 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah at 1100 a.m. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Blanding City Cemetery.
