THEIR GOLDEN WEDDING
MR. AND MRS. D. B. HART TO CELEBRATE TOMORROW
Carthage Couple Were Married 50 Years Ago in House in Which They Still Live
Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Hart, 611 East Seventh street, will observe their golden wedding anniversary at a family dinner party tomorrow at their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Hart were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1883 in the house in which they now live on East Seventh street and they have continued to make that their home since. Mr. Hart was born in Oregon, MO., and came here with his parents when he was seven years of age. Mrs. Hart was born in Circleville, Ohio and moved here in 1880. Both are now 72 years old.
Mr. Hart was engaged for many years as a carriage painter and in later years operated a grocery here. He was a member of the old Light Guard.
Four generations will be present for the celebration. They are Mr. and Mrs. Hart, their daughter, Mrs. Inez Kirby; her daughter, Mrs. Ramah Helen Phillips, and the latter's daughter, Patricia Jean, 4 years old.
Mr. and Mrs. Hart also have a son, John Hart, who makes his home with his parents. About 15 relatives will attend the dinner. Friends are invited to call during the afternoon. (bio by NJBrewer)
According to his death certificate, he was born in Oregon, Missouri.
His father was John Hart.
His wife was Mary Hart.
He was a retired grocery owner.
