Galena, Kan, April 10, Charles W. Karr 81 years old, Fifth and Keller Streets died at 7:30 O'clock tonight in St.John's Hospital at Joplin where he had been patient for a month. He had been in ill health six weeks

Born in Galena, he had lived in this area his entire life, He was a retired farmer, Mr. Karr and his wife observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary last Sunday , He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Karr; two sons, Marion Karr, and Bill W Karr of Galena; three daughters Mrs. Margaret Sliger of Galena, Mrs. Elizabeth Gates of Pittsburg, and Mrs. Josie Hendryx of of San Fernando, CA 15 Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Derfelt funeral home
