Roy & Hallie mae ,had an additional two Children together ,Roy Golden, Franklin Jr. & Lindajane. Roy SR. was robbed & murdered in 1979 in his beloved Hot Springs, Ark. for hisSocial Security Retirement Check he had just cashed. Hallie mae passed seven years before him in 1970 in Canoga Park ,Ca. after a lengthly illness in the arms of her youngest of 6 children, daughter Lindajane . Roy was a union painter after his stint in the Army & was a member of the Painters local in Hot springs Ark. He loved to travel & lived in Shreveport La. Dallas Tx.[his favorite city]& Hot springs. His sister was Veda Franklin Nutt of Amity Ark. She married Garfield Nutt & they raised chickens on there farm in Amity, she was Roy Sr's favorite Sister. Aunt Vedas daughter/neice Alice Ann Nutt. Roy is @ peace buried with his father James, Brother Jeffry/jeff & Mother lena Franklin, among other family members as well. A favorite childhood story was how he jumped out of a grade school window in third grade & went home, he often told how from that day on he helped pick cotton with his siblings, & how his mother who was a cherokee indian helped him in the fields.
