Lettie Cornelius Torsen returned to her Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2009. Born on September 14, 1923 in Yelm, Washington, Lettie was 85 years old.

A lifetime Camas resident, Lettie lived the last five years in Vancouver. She worked as a CNA before her retirement and was a member of the Camas Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed traveling to Seaside, watching soap operas on TV, music, singing, and playing the piano by the ear. Most of all, Lettie enjoyed being around her family and friends.

Lettie is survived by her sons Art Torsen of Goldendale, Washington, and Danny Torsen of Camas, daughters Carried Blanchard of Aberdeen, Washington, and Mary Bailey of Vancouver, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Olaf Torsen in 1994, daughter Shirley Jane Torsen, three brothers and three sisters.

There will be a Celebration of Lettie's life on Saturday, March 28th at 1:00 pm at the Camas Assembly of God Church: 500 SE Everett St., Camas, WA 98607. Vault interment will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.

Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
