Mary Magdalene Landenberger, wife of George Frederic Landenberger, and daughter of Ludwig Frederic Streich was born July 22, 1822 in Ebingen, which is the large district of Albstadt, district Zollernalbkreis, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, Gerrmany.

Married in her native city in 1848.

They came to America in 1854 crossing the ocean in a sailing ship and settled near Circleville, Ohio where they lived for three years.

She gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and united with the United Methodist Church in 1856.

In 1858 they moved to Olney where they united with the Evangelical Association.

Her husband died about ten years ago.

Six children were born, two dying in infancy. The oldest daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Olderdorf lives in Riverside, California, Frederic Landenberger, and Mrs. Emma B. Richardson in Olney and Rev. Louis George Landenberger of St. Louis, Missouri.

She was of a family of eight children.

One brother and one sister have preceded her.

Surviving are Louis Streich of Circleville, Ohio, Rev. C. Streich, Pastor of the United Brethren of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Amanda Kaiser, Marion, Indiana, Mrs. Elizabeth Schill of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Barbara Finkbiner of Marshall, Illinois.
