Services for Margaret E. White, 103, of Abernathy, formerly of Idalou, will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 6, in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. White passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009.

Margaret was born on September 13, 1905 in Van Zant County to Oliver P. and Mary Burnett Deen. She married John Robert White in Canton on September 4, 1926. John preceded her in death in 1992. They were longtime residents of Floydada prior to moving to Idalou and later to Abernathy. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Dale White; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include six sons, Robert of Lake Dallas, John E. of Idalou, Bill of Amarillo, Doug of Schertz, Jerry of Wichita, Kan., Dennis of Plainview; three daughters, Annette Barcheers of Abernathy, Joyce Reese and Doris Kendricks both of Wellington, Kan.; 32 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the Lubbock Children's Home or VistaCare Hospice.
