St. Clair--Fred J. Zimmer, 80, died early today after a long illness. Mr. Zimmer was born Oct. 17, 1875 in St. Clair township. His wife, Margaret Zimmer, died May 2, 1933. Mr. Zimmer is survived by five sons, Theodore, Royal Oak; Andrew, Port Huron; Benjamin and Pauly, both of St. Clair, and Florent Zimmer, Grand Rapids; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Atkins and Mrs. Frieda Bauman, both of Ferndale, and Sister Margaret Ann of the Dominican Order, Fort Pierce, Fla.; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; three bothers, John and Anthony, both of St. Clair, and William Port Huron, and four sisters, Mrs. Clara Shute and Mrs. August Yeip, both of St. Clair; Mrs. Louise Dufor, River Rouge, and Mrs. Bert Brown, Detroit. Remains are in L. C. Friederichs funeral home, where services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Harold J. Kreucher, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery.
Rosary devotions will be held 8 p.m. today in the funeral home for women of the parish and at 8 p.m. Tuesday for the parish.
