Mrs. Bailey, 70, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Joe D. Ford, in the 6th district of Cannon county Tuesday evening at 11:55 o'clock. She had been ill 14 weeks. A native of Fentress county, Mrs. Bailey was born February 17, 1882. She was a daughter of Jerome Goff and Josephine Newby Goff and she was married to Mr. Bailey in 1900. He died in 1938.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Church of Christ and had been a resident of Cannon County for a number of years.
In addition to her daughter , she is survived by one son, Joe R. Bailey, Nashville; one brother, Emmett Goff, Murfreesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Cope and Mrs. Stella Campbell, Daylight. Also two grandchildren, Carol Lynn and Phyllis Joan Bailey, Nashville.
