Violet Elaine Augustine (nee Irvine) passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Mrs. Augustine was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Canadian Studies at Carleton University for a number of years.
She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Alford Augustine of Port Dover. Dear mother of Emily (Gary Duvall) of State College, Penn. Step-mother of Barbara Ann (Gordon Carpenter) of South Hampton, Mass., Ronald Alford Augustine (Carol) of Lindsay, Ont. Grandmother of Isis Duvall, Christopher and Timothy Augustine, Wendy (Lee Sutter) and Thomas Carpenter (Ann). Great Grandmother of Adam Parker, Meagan Parker, Daniel Sutter and Jack Carpenter. Also survived by a brother Ronald John Irvine of Saskatoon, Sask.; nieces and nephews Timothy Irvine, Sandra Lanovaz and Sharon Irvine; cousins Alan, David and Donald Irvine and many other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Port Colborne Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes 135 Clarence St.
