Sarah Jaynes,daughter of Henry Norton and Nancy Jane Davis Jaynes, married Samuel Sutton on Feb 19,1854 in Washington Co., Ohio. There first son William Thornton Sutton was b. Aug. 25, 1855 in Wood Co., West Virginia. Soon after the family moved to Van Buren Co., Iowa, Where the next three son were born. Charles Elliott, July 23, 1857; Henry N. on March 25, 1859 and Last Frand Lincoln on Oct 4, 1861. When the Civil war broke out Her husband Samuel sign up in Iowa. He was taken captive and sent to Andersonville Prison in Georgia. He died there on July 28, 1864. Sarah took her children, back home to Ohio then. After the Civil War, her parents move to Daviss Co., Indiana, She and her children made this move also. In Daviss Co., Indiana she loss her younger son Frank as well as her mother and sister Martha. She then moved with the rest of her remaining family on the Linn Co., Missouri. She died there on Jan 1, 1864 at the age of 34 years 9 m. 1day. She is buried with her father, step mother Susan, brothers John, Henry D. and George and sister Mary Catharine Jaynes McLin.
