Charles O. Boren, 66, of Princeton, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at 10:10 a.m. at his home, following a short illness.
A Vietnam Navy veteran and tow boat pilot, he was born March 6, 1943, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Amos Wilson and Nella Mae Noel Boren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Cunningham Boren; and a brother, Harold Don Boren.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Twyman Eugene and Marjorie Boren of St. Albans, Vt.; a sister-in-law, Gerry Boren of St. Point, Ore.; an uncle, Jimmy Bryson of St. Louis, Mo.; two aunts, Edna Noel of Kuttawa and Laura Kane of Springfield, Ill.; two nephews, David Boren of Caldwell County and Steven J. Boren and wife Cindy of St. Albans, Vt.; a niece, Debra Sue Riopel and husband Jim of Highgate, Vt.; three great-nephews, Shaun and Eric Boren of St. Albans, Vt. and Skylar Riopel of Highgate, Vt.; a great-niece, Samantha Dessett of Highgate, Vt.; a step-grandson, C.J. Klueg of Murray; a nephew and three nieces, all of Oregon; and four cousins, Dale Cotton, Mike Cotton and Sharon Cotton, all of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Charles Travis of Caldwell County.
Memorial graveside services for Mr. Boren will be held at Fredonia Cemetery at a later date.
Morgan's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
