Matteson, Lawrence D., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Monday, March 16, 2009, at the age of 86. Dearest husband of Mable C. Matteson, dear son of the late John R. and Blanche Matteson; devoted father of Donna Jean Matteson and the late Larry Wayne Matteson; beloved grandfather of Deanna (Greg) Kuhn, Shon (Jessica) Matteson, Brandy (James) Lerch, Alex Schupmann, Wendy Matteson, Kelly Matteson and Andrea Matteson; great-grandfather of 8. He is preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Helen Isaac, William R. Matteson and Elizabeth Lindemann.

Lawrence was employed as a Set-Up Man/Line Leader at Wagner Electric for 36 years before his retirement. He was a member of Machinist Local 1104, VFW Post 2866 and served in the U.S. Army 1942 - 1946.
