Glenn Watkins, 79, Holton, died Friday, November 3, 1995, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Watkins was a farmer and stockman. He also was a carpenter for 25 years with Lundgren Construction in Topeka, KS and later worked in construction in the Holton, KS, until he retired in the mid-1980's. He was born April 25, 1916, at Bancroft, KS. He was the son of Harvey and Edna May Gorrell-Watkins. Mr. Watkins was a 30-year member of the Netawaka United Methodist Church and he was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton, KS. He also was a member of the Carpenter's Local No. 1445 in Topeka, KS. He was married to Maxine Springer on August 22, 1940, in Soldier, KS. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Gary Watkins, Holton, KS, Galen Watkins, Whiting, KS, and Greg Watkins, Holton, KS; two brothers, Claud Watkins, Topeka, KS, and Francis Watkins, Holton, KS; and eight grandchildren.
