Services for Sanford Derrell Flanagin, 53, will be held at 2 PM Saturday at the Wilkerson Funeral Home. Rev. Evans I. Burelson will officiate with burial in the Wagram Cemetery in Mason Cemetery.

Mr. Flanagin died at 9:50 PM Wednesday at the Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 1, 1923 in Fredonia. He married Pauline Moore Aug. 1, 1941 in Fredonia. He was a confectionary salesman, a member of the Baptist church and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Lois Porter of Bellville; two brothers, Frank of Brady and Lloyd of Marble Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
