Samuel David Flanagin, a farmer and rancher in the Fredonia Community, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lois Porter in Comfort.

Funeral services were scheduled to be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Church of Christ, followed by burial in Fredonia Cemetery.

Survivors, in addition to his daughter, include five sons: Frank Flanagin and Derrell Flanagin, both of Brady, D.J. Flanagin of Mason, Lloyd Flanagin of Dallas and A.J. Flanagin of Temple; a brother, Jack Flanagin of Arizona; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
