Velma was much loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her schoolmates and friends as well as relatives. Besides her parents, she has two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services were held at the church Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Coughron, and her little body was laid to rest in the Mound Creek cemetery. Much sympathy is extended to the sorrowing relatives. Those in attendance from away were: Dr. and Mrs. Walker, Mrs. John Price, Mrs. Eari Price, of Osawatomie, Mr. and Mrs. O. Marrs of Sedalia; Mrs. Roy Elkington and Mrs. Lewis Brand of Kansas City and Charlie Bryan, her brother, from St. Louis.
