Services for Wilma Spikes Wheeler, 88, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Hubbard, pastor of Ralls First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, in Crosbyton Hospital.

She was born Oct. 3, 1910, in Cone. She married Paul Wheeler on Dec. 27, 1937, in Floydada. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Cone, and she was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Lubbock Arts & Garden Club, and she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She received a master's degree in home economics from Texas Tech University. She was appointed postmaster in Cone in 1951.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Ellis, M.D., of Fort Worth and Billy Lowell of Franklin, La.; a sister, Wilda Laminack of Ralls; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
