A graveside service for former McMinnville resident Maude I. Schroeder of Salem will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.

Restlawn Funeral Home, Salem, will be open for visitation from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Schroeder died Nov. 5, 2000, in her home. She was 86.

She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Plano, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Iowa. She moved to Oregon from Nebraska in 1936.

She married Paul Fredrick Schroeder. The couple owned and operated the Country Kitchen restaurant in McMinnville until 1974.

Mr. Schroeder preceded her in death in March 1974. She then moved to Salem. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Salem Fourth Ward, and was a visiting teacher for the church. She loved the Portland Trail Blazers, flowers and travel.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Lyon of Salem; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by a son, John Hawk.
