Bettye was born and raised in the Rush and Yoder communities, and spent most of her adult life there.
She married Willard "Woody" Thieman and they were blessed with four beautiful daughters and a son.
In 1993, she along with her husband, Woodym moved to Tucson, AZ., for health reasons and resided there until her death.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ralph and Grace Book, her husband, Willard, a son, David, a daughter, Lynn, a brother, Dale, and two great-granddaughters, Malea and Ladakota.
She is survided by thre daughters, Nelda (Jerald) Frazier, Kay (Larry) Little, Vicki Kosier, a brother, Jim (Donna) Book, a half-sister, Sheila (Kent) Ellington, half-brothers, Curt (Evelyn Book, Keith Book, Larry Book, Ron (Valerie) Book, and step-sister, Nancy (George) Turner, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Living word Church, 520 Colorado Blvd, Calhan, CO.
